Project: Design and author of protocol for the study of optimal pain management after video assisted thoracic surgery. Duties included preparation of study design, protocol, informed consent forms and data sheets. Protocol was reviewed and approved by Institutional Review Board.

2002 Summer Research Assistant, Hospital for Special Surgery, New York NY (Advisor: Charles Cornell, M.D.). Project: Evaluation of the pre and post-operative deformations of total knee replacement patients aimed at the development of a new design for knee replacement prostheses. Duties included examining x-rays for over 75 patients, data collection and entry, presentation of written reports and database compilation of over 300 total knee arthroplasty patients.

2001 Summer Laboratory Assistant, Crop and Soil Sciences Laboratory, Cornell University (Advisor: Timothy Setter, Ph.D.). Project: Analysis of maize samples for presence and amount of absissic acid as an indication of survival success under drought conditions. Work included ion-exchange chromatography and bioassays for over 2,500 samples.
