Despite several initiatives over the past decade to address racial disparities in depression care in the U.S. Blacks with depression are less likely to seek treatment compared to Whites. Cultural mistrust, lower beliefs in treatment efficacy, discrimination and cultural stigma around mental health issues have led to Blacks seeking care from Church Leaders their trusted leaders. The goal of this study is to reduce health disparities related to depression by increasing knowledge and changing the negative attitudes about depression among Church Leaders increasing timely referrals and adherence to depression treatment plans in congregants by addressing multi-faceted social determinants that influence mental health disparities 19FS Depression, church leader, simulation, social determinants, health disparity
