Faculty Research Grant Program
This program provides summer stipend support or research support for the development of faculty research and scholarship. The program provides financial support for faculty research programs, primarily for those in the initial stages of developing their research career. Successful applicants are expected to present records of prior activity that indicate a devotion to scholarship and the potential for high-quality achievement. Faculty from the University of Cincinnati and its affiliate institutions are eligible to apply for the Faculty Research Grant Program. Research support (up to $6500/year) or stipend support ($4000/month for a total of $8000) will be provided so that the awardee may pursue scholarly activities on a full-time basis.
Interdisciplinary Faculty Research Support Program
This program is designed to support pilot research projects that are part of a collaborative effort between faculty in at least two different disciplines. The goal of this program is to establish collaborative research efforts that will result in competitive research proposals to national funding agencies. Successful applicants are expected to present a record of prior activity that indicates a devotion to scholarship and the potential for high-quality achievement. All members of the University of Cincinnati Faculty and its affiliate institutions are eligible for this award.
Graduate Student Research Fellowships
This program provides summer stipend support to outstanding graduate students. Stipend support of $1,500 per month for two months will be provided. Applications will only be accepted from the graduate programs. The number of applications submitted through each graduate program is limited, and there is a requirement for a pre-review by the department/college of the applicant.
Undergraduate Student Research Fellowship Program
This program provides summer stipend support to outstanding undergraduate students. Stipend support of $750 per month for two months will be provided. All undergraduate students from UC who will not have graduated by May 2013 are eligible for this award. Fellowships are limited to undergraduate students who are engaged 20 hrs./week on their research during the period of the award. Students who have been accepted into other UC-sponsored summer undergraduate programs are eligible to apply for this fellowship. If awarded, the student will receive the higher of the two stipends and the URC funds will be used for all or part of that support.
